Private Sector Engagements and Campaigns
MFU convenes corporate leaders, industry associations, and foundations to position malaria elimination as both a public health and economic priority. Through CEO roundtables, one-on-one engagements, corporate workplace programs, and structured partnership agreements, these engagements transform corporate social responsibility commitments into measurable impact, strengthening Uganda’s workforce productivity and economic resilience.
Mass Media Campaigns
MFU leverages national and digital media platforms to amplify awareness, influence behavior change, and elevate malaria elimination as a national development priority.
Through strategic partnerships with media houses, talk shows, radio programs, and digital campaigns, MFU drives public discourse, supports prevention messaging, and mobilizes collective action. Media engagement ensures that malaria remains visible at both community and leadership levels. MFU signed a partnership with Next media for 3 years to champion malaria communication across the country. This partnership is worth 8 billion shillings annually
Engagement with the Parliament of Uganda
MFU works closely with Members of Parliament to strengthen legislative and policy advocacy for malaria elimination. Over the past 3 years MFU has directly and continuously supported the Uganda Parliamentary forum on Malaria (UPFM) advocacy activities to reinforce national accountability and sustains political commitment toward the goal of increased resource allocation for malaria programming.
Rotary Malaria Ambassadors
In partnership with Uganda, MFU trains and engages Rotary leaders as Malaria Ambassadors to champion advocacy, community mobilization, and resource mobilization initiatives. Rotary Malaria Ambassadors leverage their clubs to raise awareness, organize fundraising activities, and promote prevention interventions at community level. This collaboration strengthens grassroots engagement while aligning with national malaria elimination strategies.
Sports Fraternity Engagement
MFU collaborates with athletes, sports federations, and media personalities within Uganda’s sports fraternity to drive awareness and mobilize public action against malaria.
Through sports events, endorsements, and targeted campaigns, MFU harnesses the influence of sports leaders to promote prevention messaging and inspire national participation. Engaging the sports sector expands outreach to youth and communities, reinforcing malaria elimination as a shared national responsibility
